Act of the independence of Venezuela is a document where 7 Spanish, provinces belonging to the Captaincy General of Venezuela in South America, are separated from kingdom of Spain. It was signed on July 5, 1811 in Caracas. With the signing of the document, began the war of the independence. The anniversary of the signing is celebrated as "Independence Day of Venezuela", the original document is in the Federal Legislative Palace in Caracas
